Privacy Policy
World Languages Explorer · Chrome extension & web app
Short version: nothing you do here leaves your browser. World Languages Explorer collects no data, requires no permissions, makes no network requests, and has no sign-in, accounts, analytics or trackers.
What we collect
Nothing. The extension does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal information, usage data, location, browsing history, or content. There are no analytics or advertising SDKs.
Permissions
The extension requests no permissions and no host access. Clicking the toolbar icon simply opens the visualization in a new tab. All code and data are bundled in the extension package; nothing is downloaded or executed from a remote server.
Local storage
The only thing stored on your device is a small flag in your browser's localStorage
recording that you've seen the one-time welcome tour, so it isn't shown again. This never leaves
your device and can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser data.
Third parties
None. The visualization is rendered entirely on your device using bundled, open-source libraries (globe.gl / three.js and polygon-clipping). No data is shared with anyone.
Children
The extension is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page.
