World Religions Explorer
Last updated: 9 June 2026
Nothing. World Religions Explorer does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no trackers, and no third-party data sharing of any kind.
World Religions Explorer saves a single flag in your own browser — whether you
have seen the one-time welcome tutorial — using the standard
localStorage API. That is the only thing it stores. It never leaves
your device, contains no personal information, and you can clear it at any time by
clearing your browser's site data (web app) or removing the extension.
No tracking, no third parties, and none of your data is ever sent anywhere. The Chrome extension packages all of its content — the religion data, country outlines and the globe library — locally and makes no network requests at all. The web app loads those same bundled files from the site that hosts it (like any web page) and makes no other requests: no analytics, no ads, no trackers, no third-party servers.
World Religions Explorer requests no permissions at all — no host access, no special capabilities, and no access to any other website or to your data. The web app simply runs in a browser tab; the extension opens its own page when you click the toolbar icon.
World Religions Explorer is a general-audience educational tool and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
The religious figures displayed are approximate and illustrative, assembled from public research (Pew Research, the World Religion Project and scholarship) and bundled with the app for educational and orientation purposes. They are not authoritative, and figures beyond 2020 are projections. They are not associated with you in any way.
