About the Russian Sanctions Map
This map paints every country by its stance toward Moscow — green where relations are open and friendly, yellow where a country is neutral or partial, and red where it sanctions or isolates Russia. Russia itself — and, before 1991, the other Soviet republics — is shown in violet.
The story runs from the Russian Empire through the USSR to the Russian Federation.
