A live world day/night clock. Here's what you can do:
Move your cursor anywhere on Earth to see the nearest city, its local time, sunrise & sunset, day phase, and the cursor's coordinates.
Drag from one point to another to draw a great-circle path. A small live "km" chip follows your cursor while you drag; release (or pause briefly) and the full panel pops in with distance, bearing, and approximate flight times for Concorde, Boom Overture, Private Jet and Jumbo Jet. On the 3D globe, hold Shift while dragging (a plain drag spins the globe instead).
Open the ☰ Menu and choose ⚙ Cities to add, remove, or search ~240 world cities for the bottom clock strip. Your list is saved locally and the strip auto-sorts west → east.
The gold curve is the day/night boundary, computed in real time. The dashed cyan line is the International Date Line (180° meridian). The tabs at the bottom show today's day on each side of the IDL.
From the ☰ Menu, choose 🌐 Globe to swap the flat map for a spinable 3D Earth with the same real-time day/night lighting. Drag the globe to rotate, scroll to zoom, leave it idle for a moment and it auto-spins. Hover anywhere for the live location readout, and hold Shift while dragging to measure a great-circle distance — the same tools as the flat map.
Open the ☰ Menu (top-right) and choose 📍 Add family/friend pin, then click anywhere on the flat map or the globe to drop a pin. Give it a name and it shows a live hours:minutes clock for that location. Pins stay put on both the map and the globe; drag a pin's dot to move it, or hover and click its × to remove it.
The ☰ Menu in the top-right corner holds everything: switch between Globe and Flat, add family/friend pins, configure cities, go fullscreen, and re-open this help.
From the ☰ Menu, choose ⛶ Fullscreen for the full immersive view. Press Esc to exit.
Tip: press Esc or click anywhere on the map to clear a distance measurement. You can re-open this help anytime via the ? Help button in the header.
